Sea Veggies & Smoked Salmon Gratitude Bowl
Sea Veggies & Smoked Salmon Gratitude Bowl, filled with mushrooms, baked sweet potatoes, avocado, and smoked salmon, makes for a perfect meal.
When it comes to my favorite meals, they tend to be simplistic and nourishing. Food doesn’t need to be over the top or pretentious. Simple, honest food is where it’s at. Our health is the most precious thing we own. Without it, we cannot enjoy life, family, or friends.
This Sea Veggies & Smoked Salmon Gratitude Bowl is perfect for Winter and makes a great nourishing meal as it gives your body a break from grains, and you can make the elements in advance and fill your bowl for a quick grab-n-go lunch or dinner.
You can use different vegetables, too. Salmon is packed with protein, so you have a complete, balanced meal. These bowls are best eaten at room temperature, but if you’re in a hurry, it’s fine to tuck in while the roasted sweet potatoes are still hot.
What are the health benefits of sea vegetables?
Sea vegetables, also known as seaweed, are a rich source of nutrients and have many health benefits. They are high in iodine, which is important for thyroid function, and also contain high levels of vitamins and minerals such as iron, calcium, and vitamin K. Sea vegetables are a good source of antioxidants and anti-inflammatory compounds. Additionally, they are low in calories and a good fiber source.
To incorporate sea vegetables into your diet, you can add them to soups, salads, or as a topping for sushi. Dried seaweed can also be eaten as a snack or used as a seasoning instead of salt. You can also find sea vegetables in supplement form, such as tablets or capsules, or a powder that can be added to smoothies or juices.
It is important to note that some sea vegetables can be high in heavy metals, so it's best to purchase sea vegetables from a reputable source and not consume them in large amounts. Also, if you have a history of thyroid problems, consult your doctor before adding sea vegetables to your diet.
