What are Affirmations?
Affirmations involve using positive statements to battle negative thoughts and patterns in your life. When we say a positive statement to ourselves, it creates a strong link between our conscious and unconscious minds, making it easier to find personal motivation. Affirming also releases 'feel-good hormones', and encourage you to adopt a pattern of positive thought.

A morning routine with affirmations will help to recognize negative thoughts and inner doubt, as well as show you what the purpose of your life is. With these beliefs, possibilities expand and you are flooded with confidence. These affirmations stick through self-conviction and manifest what you want to happen in reality.

When I first started incorporating daily affirmations, I felt nothing and I was a bit skeptical at first. I realized, that a big part of this had to do with not truly believing in what I wanted, how I wanted to change my narrative, and not being in the right mindset.
It's taken a while to figure it out, but with a simple mind shift and visualizing, I’ve been able to see and understand the power of daily affirmations.
After practicing affirmations, I felt more hopeful. Previously, I suffered from imposter syndrome and thought that I wasn’t good enough. However, my negative thought patterns got me down. This is where my mind shift took place. I had to take that limiting belief and truly tap into why I was experiencing imposter syndrome, where was that fear coming from and ask myself hard questions. With time and journaling and practicing daily affirmations, this mind shift happened.
But after a few months into my practice, I realized this had also changed. Whenever I become aware of incoming negative thoughts, or if self-sabotaging statements cross my mind, rather than pitying myself then what do I do?
I stopped those thoughts with my strong self-certainty. Replacing the negative or doubtful thoughts with positive ones like an affirmation helps train your mind. When you use positive language, that is when true transformation takes place.
How to do Morning Affirmations?
It’s really simple. Start with 3 to 5 minutes at least twice a day. Try saying affirmations upon waking up and getting into bed, for example. Repeat each affirmation about 10 times. I like to create a small, not card or sticky note and write the affirmation and place it where I can see it throughout my day. This helps me remember my affirmation of the day.
